People Power

It was a week ago when I asked one of my journalist friend if the opposition parties would deny BN's 2/3 Majority in the elections. He answered immediately, "Hmm... not in the next 10 years! May be their voice in parliament might increase and BN's majority might drop a little, that's all"

And today, it's a shocking news for all of us. The people have spoken; very loud and clear. No one, including myself expected such a drastic change in malaysian politics. BN has lost its 2/3 majority for the first time ever in the last 50 years. That's a very strong message to the government that, something is very wrong somewhere. BN's component parties, MIC especially has collapsed totally to ground. Most of them lost terribley. Furthermore, it's a political Tsunami that oppositions have conquered Kelantan, Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor.

Looks like the pattern has changed. People are no longer prefer BN's "divide and rule" tactics. The prefer a Bangsa Malaysia that belongs to everyone. It's a positive change.

Meanwhile, in times of success, stay humble and calm. Don't provoke others and let others to provoke you. Don't let any party to have the reason to declare an emergency. If possible, stay at home and pray for the elected leaders to bring in more success to rakyat.
