Final EC tally for Permatang Pauh election - Anwar got 31,195 votes, Arif Shah, 15,524, and Hanafi, 92. Anwar won with a majority of 15,671 - a bigger win than his wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail who won the seat with a 13,388 majority at the March 8 general elections.It was the hottest by-election ever. As I am looking down from the top of a 15 stories building at Lembah Pantai, - the constituency of Anwar's daughter, Nurul Izzah, I could see a festive like scenario with long line of convoys and continous honking, people shouting and screaming celebrating Anwar's big win and Keadilan flags are flying all over the place marking Anwar's political comeback after a decade of silence. It's a big win for Pakatan Rakyat. I just hope it will also be a big win for the rakyat.
And, I bet you, the parliament not gonna be the same again!
